Day 01 :
Hua Hin Countryside Loop

Your adventure begins at the Thailand Cycle Tours office with a professional bike fitting and route briefing. From here, you’ll ride into Hua Hin’s countryside along quiet backroads, past pineapple plantations, and beside a scenic lake. Stop for breathtaking views at Huay Mongkol Temple, enjoy a break at the Chocolate Farm Café, and continue to the Golden Pagoda before looping back to our office.

Day 02 :
Pranburi Lake Loop

After breakfast, we’ll pick you up at 8:00 am from your hotel and transfer (+/- 30 min) you to the Pranburi Dam. This epic gravel loop takes you around Pranburi Lake, through pineapple, mango, durian, sugarcane, and rubber plantations. The route features rolling hills, scenic farmland, and quiet gravel roads before returning to Hua Hin.

How challenging is the cycling route?

The tour is designed for cyclists with a moderate fitness level. Over two riding days, you'll cover 145 km with approximately 1,500 m of climbing. Expect a mix of gravel roads, plantation tracks, rolling hills, and quiet countryside roads. The routes are rewarding rather than overly technical.

How do I navigate the routes on a self-guided tour?

We provide GPX files, Strava routes, and a printed roadbook with detailed route information. A smartphone bike holder is also included, allowing you to follow the route easily at your own pace.

What are the gravel roads and trail conditions like?

The routes feature some of the best gravel riding around Hua Hin, including plantation roads, lakeside tracks, rural backroads, and countryside trails. Most sections are well-maintained and suitable for gravel bikes, with very little traffic throughout the ride.

Ich bin mittlerweile schon 3 Touren mit Lucien und seinem großartigem Team gefahren (Bangkok-Phuket, Bangkok-Hanoi, Phuket-LAngkawi). Alle Touren waren großartig in der Organisation von Anfang bis Ende. Die Strecken sind sehr gut und liebevoll geplant, die Räder und Service super, die Hotels fast immer sehr schön, das Essen sowohl Mittags als auch Abends wird sehr liebevoll ausgewählt und auf Extrawünsche wie vegane Ernährung sehr gut eingegangen. We took the 6 day Self Guided Tour from Hua Hin in Thailand. Lucien and Suthara took care of all the planning, providing us with good quality bikes (one hybrid, one e-bike), a full set of gpx files for navigation, and some excellent resorts to stay in each night. We also had him organise daily forwarding of our luggage (this was part of a bigger trip). All the arrangements worked seamlessly. The cycling is not of itself particularly demanding for anyone accustomed to the distances involved but we did find the heat draining. Road surfaces range from decent tarmac roads to gravel tracks and everything in between as you are out in open countryside most of the time. A great way to see Thailand beyond the tourist traps.
