What Happens on Your First Day of a Thailand Cycling Tour?

The first day of a cycling tour is exciting, but it’s natural to wonder how everything will come together. Where do you meet the team? When do you get your bike? Will you have time to get comfortable before the riding begins?

At Thailand Cycle Tours, we want you to feel welcomed, prepared and ready to enjoy the journey. Here’s what you can expect as your adventure gets underway.

Arriving and Meeting the Team

Your arrival arrangements will depend on the tour you’ve booked, and we’ll share the meeting details with you before your trip.

If your tour starts from Bangkok, you’ll be transferred in our van to our office in Hua Hin for your bike fitting. It’s a chance to settle in after your travels and meet the team who will help you get ready for the ride ahead.

We know that guests arrive with different levels of cycling experience. Some have completed many multi-day tours, while others are joining one for the first time. Our team is there to answer your questions and help you feel comfortable from the start.

Getting Your Bike Ready

At our Hua Hin office, we’ll help you get set up on your bike. The fitting gives you an opportunity to check that the bike feels comfortable and to let us know if anything needs adjusting before you set off.

If you’re renting a bike from us, this is also the time to get familiar with it. If you’re bringing your own bike, our team can help you prepare it for the tour. Either way, please speak up if something doesn’t feel quite right. A small adjustment at the beginning can make a big difference to your comfort over the days ahead.

Getting to Know the Journey

Your first day is also an opportunity to ask about the route, the riding and the practical details of the tour. Wondering what to carry on the bike, how the day will be paced or what to expect at the next stop? Just ask.

We want you to begin with a clear idea of what’s ahead, while still leaving plenty of room to enjoy the surprises along the way. The exact schedule and riding arrangements will depend on your chosen tour, so we’ll guide you through the details that apply to your trip.

Your First Moments on the Road

Once the preparations are complete, the best part begins: experiencing Thailand from the saddle. Your first ride is a chance to get used to your bike, find your rhythm and start taking in the places around you.

There’s no need to have every detail figured out on day one. Take your time, let the team know if you need anything, and enjoy the feeling of your cycling holiday finally beginning.

What Should You Have Ready?

Before your first day, it helps to have your cycling clothes and any personal riding essentials within easy reach. Bring the items you normally rely on to feel comfortable on a ride, and check the trip information we’ve sent you for anything specific to your tour.

Most of all, come ready to ask questions. Whether it’s about your bike, the route or what happens next, we’re happy to help.

Ready to Ride?

The first day is about getting comfortable with your bike, meeting the people you’ll be travelling with and easing into the adventure. From the bike fitting in Hua Hin to those first moments on the road, our team is here to help you start with confidence.

We can’t wait to welcome you and show you Thailand by bike! 🚴🇹🇭
