Go on a self-guided cycling adventure through and around Hua Hin. This tour is perfect for independent cyclists of all levels, bringing you to see great scenery, experience local culture, and enjoy Thai cuisine, all at your own pace.

We provide a quality Trek FX 2 Hybrid bike with E-bike or Gravel bike upgrades available, easy GPX navigation, a detailed roadbook, and pre-booked accommodation. Pedal traffic-free roads, cruise beside lakes, see Pala U waterfall, kayak in a jungle resort, hike to Phraya Nakhon cave, and enjoy the Hua Hin night market.

Day 01 :
Hua Hin - Kaeng Krachan

Pick up your bike from our Hua Hin office from 8 AM. After a bike fitting and route briefing, your adventure begins. Pedal alongside Huai Mai Tai lake and through charming farmland to Kaeng Krachan dam. Enjoy a lakeside lunch at your own expense and unwind at your serene riverside resort.

Day 02 :
Kaeng Krachan - Pala U

Pala U - Jungle Resort

After breakfast, your journey leads uphill to the Pala U Waterfall. After your visit, continue pedaling to a charming local Thai restaurant by a river at your own expense. Then, cycle to your hotel nestled in the jungle, offering kayaking or riverside relaxation.

Jungle Resort - Sam Roi Yot Beach

Embark on a thrilling journey along the Myanmar mountains, pedaling over rolling hills. Pause at a coffee shop with views of Pranburi lake. After conquering a short climb and lunch at your own expense, continue through Sam Roi Yot National Park to your resort at Dolphin Bay.

Choose to hike up, either one or two mountains, or take a boat part of the way to reach the temple within the cave. After your visit and perhaps a beachside lunch at your own expense, a short ride takes you back to your resort.

We pick up the bike at 6 PM from your G Resort.

FAQs

Is this self-guided tour suitable if I've never done one before?

Yes. With detailed GPX files, a roadbook, pre-booked quality accommodation, and local WhatsApp support, it is well-suited for adventurous beginners to experienced independent cyclists. The E-bike option makes it even more accessible.

How does the navigation work?

You will receive GPX files to load onto your smartphone using an app like Komoot, RideWithGPS, or similar, or a rented Garmin GPS. A bike phone holder is provided. You will also get a PDF roadbook with daily directions and points of interest.

What happens if I have a mechanical issue with the bike?

Your rental includes a spare inner tube, mini-pump, and multitool for basic fixes. For anything more significant, our local support team is available via WhatsApp to provide advice or help coordinate assistance or repairs.

Are meals included in the self-guided tour?

Breakfast is included each day at your accommodation. Lunches and dinners are not included, giving you the flexibility to explore local restaurants and cafes at your leisure. The roadbook will have suggestions.

We took the 6 day Self Guided Tour from Hua Hin in Thailand. Lucien and Suthara took care of all the planning, providing us with good quality bikes (one hybrid, one e-bike), a full set of gpx files for navigation, and some excellent resorts to stay in each night. We also had him organise daily forwarding of our luggage (this was part of a bigger trip). All the arrangements worked seamlessly. The cycling is not of itself particularly demanding for anyone accustomed to the distances involved but we did find the heat draining. Road surfaces range from decent tarmac roads to gravel tracks and everything in between as you are out in open countryside most of the time. A great way to see Thailand beyond the tourist traps.
