Try delectable Thai cuisine, enjoy a wine tasting in Hua Hin, explore Sam Roi Yot National Park with a hike to Phraya Nakhon Cave, go snorkeling off Koh Talu Island, and kayak in Khao Sok National Park. Day 01 :
Arrival in Bangkok

Arrive in Bangkok and make your way to the Mode Sathorn Hotel. The day is free for you to explore this vibrant city. An optional morning city tour is available for those arriving a day earlier.

Day 02 :
Bangkok – Hua Hin (30 km, 159m ascent)

After hotel pick-up, we transfer to the Thailand Cycle Tours Coffee Shop in Hua Hin for bike fitting and lunch. Our E-bike journey starts with a relaxing ride to a lake, passing farms and pineapple plantations, before arriving at Monsoon Valley Vineyard for a memorable wine tasting experience. A short transfer takes us to our hotel. In the evening, explore Hua Hin's town center and night market.

Day 03 :
Hua Hin – Prachuap Khiri Khan (60 km, 150m ascent)

We begin our E-biking adventure on scenic roads along two bays with sandy, coconut-lined beaches. After lunch at Dolphin Bay, we continue through Sam Roi Yot National Park, taking a boat trip to explore the Phraya Nakhon cave with a short hike. A 45-minute transfer then takes us to our accommodation.

Day 04 :
Prachuap Khiri Khan – Haad Baan Krut (75 km, 292m ascent)

Today's E-bike ride takes us past expansive pineapple plantations. After lunch, we continue towards Haad Baan Krut, passing small rural villages and visiting the Wat Tang Sai Temple before reaching our Arcadia Resort accommodation.

Day 05 :
Haad Baan Krut – Koh Talu Island (60 km, 200m ascent)

Enjoy an easy E-bike ride along the scenic coast to Bo Thong Lang Bay. From there, we board a boat to Koh Talu Island. Enjoy lunch on the island followed by a boat tour and snorkeling in the crystal-clear waters.

Day 06 :
Koh Talu – Thung Wua Laen Beach (75 km, 400m ascent)

The day starts with a boat trip back to the mainland. As we E-bike south, the tropical environment becomes more pronounced. We'll pass a large Buddha statue on a hill with great views and stop for lunch at a traditional Thai Wooden House on the beach.

Day 07 :
Chumphon – Sawi (75 km, 313m ascent)

Today's flat E-bike stage leads past shrimp farms, coconut plantations, and mangrove forests. We'll pass through colorful fishing villages with the Thai sea as a backdrop and stop for coffee. Enjoy a relaxed afternoon by the hotel pool or on the beach.

Day 08 :
Sawi – Khao Sok National Park (50 km, 247m ascent)

We cycle 50 km along beautiful coastal roads, passing beaches and scenic bays before stopping at a local café. After, we transfer for around 2 hours to the spectacular Khao Sok National Park, where we will spend the next two days surrounded by ancient rainforest, limestone cliffs, and stunning natural scenery.

Khao Sok National Park – Khao Lak (68 km, 550m ascent)

Embark on a remarkable E-bike journey from the lush jungle to our beach resort in Khao Lak. The ride begins with a short uphill section, offering captivating mountain views. We'll stop at Takua Pa Chino, a charming Portuguese-influenced town, for coffee before winding towards Khao Lak.

Day 11 :

The last leg of our E-bike tour starts with a short 30km transfer to Thai Mueang Beach, where we begin cycling along the Andaman coast. Our journey concludes at Nai Yang Beach in Phuket with lunch, around 2 PM.

What is the wine tasting at Monsoon Valley Vineyard like?

It's a unique experience to sample locally produced Thai wines in a beautiful vineyard setting. You'll typically get to taste a selection of their wines, learning a bit about winemaking in a tropical climate. 

How strenuous is the snorkeling and kayaking?

Both activities are designed to be enjoyable for all fitness levels. The snorkeling on Koh Talu Island is in calm, clear waters. The kayaking in Khao Sok National Park is a gentle paddle through stunning scenery. No prior experience is needed. 

What happens if my E-Bike battery runs low during a ride?

Our E-Bikes have a good range (up to 120km in Eco mode). The daily distances are well within this. Our support vehicle also carries spare batteries if needed, and our team manages all charging overnight.

We took the 6 day Self Guided Tour from Hua Hin in Thailand. Lucien and Suthara took care of all the planning, providing us with good quality bikes (one hybrid, one e-bike), a full set of gpx files for navigation, and some excellent resorts to stay in each night. We also had him organise daily forwarding of our luggage (this was part of a bigger trip). All the arrangements worked seamlessly. The cycling is not of itself particularly demanding for anyone accustomed to the distances involved but we did find the heat draining. Road surfaces range from decent tarmac roads to gravel tracks and everything in between as you are out in open countryside most of the time. A great way to see Thailand beyond the tourist traps.
