Day 01 :
Arrival in Phuket

Arrive in Phuket and enjoy a transfer from the airport to your resort on a quiet and beautiful beach, Nai Yang Beach Resort. The rest of the day is at your leisure to relax and settle in.

Day 02 :
Phuket - Phang Nga (70 km, 690m ascent)

The adventure begins at 8:00 AM at Nai Yang Beach. After a bike fitting, we cross the Sarasin Bridge to the mainland. Cycle through rubber plantations to the Phang Nga Bay Skywalk for breathtaking views, then enjoy coffee and lunch before a short transfer to our hotel in Phang Nga.

Day 03 :
Phang Nga - Ratchaprapha Dam (35 km, 440m ascent)

Begin with a scenic ride through the jungle, including a 5 km climb to the Bang Riang Temple. This is followed by a transfer to Cheow Lan Lake. After lunch, embark on a longtail boat tour through the spectacular Khao Sok National Park.

Day 04 :
Ratchaprapha Dam - Surat Thani (65 km, 189m ascent)

Today we cycle through vibrant fruit orchards and rubber plantations as we head towards Surat Thani. The day concludes at a peaceful riverside hotel just outside the city.

Day 05 :
Surat Thani - Sichon (70 km, 531m ascent)

Our ride today takes us through Namtok Si Khit National Park, featuring an exciting 8 km route with five river crossings. After a short 30-minute transfer, we pedal along quiet roads through stunning mountain landscapes and charming villages, ending at the luxurious Cabana Beach Resort in Sichon for a two-night stay.

Day 06 :
Sichon (26 km)

Enjoy a short, scenic ride along one of Thailand most picturesque coastal roads by the Gulf of Thailand. After lunch in Khanom, participate in local activities before a short transfer back to your hotel for an afternoon of relaxation.

Day 07 :
Sichon - Kiriwong (70 km, 106m ascent)

Cycle through coconut, rambutan, mangosteen, and durian plantations en route to Kiriwong, located near Khao Luang National Park, an area known for its fresh air. Spend the afternoon exploring the charming mountain town and its riverside paths.

Day 08 :
Kiriwong National Park (Hike)

Our adventure continues with a hike to the So Dao Waterfall, one of Khao Luang National Park hidden gems. The rest of the day is free for you to enjoy the serene mountain town of Kiriwong.

Day 09 :
Kiriwong - Thung Song (62 km, 515m ascent)

Ride along tranquil, winding roads through lush greenery and small mountain villages. The terrain includes gentle climbs and curves, leading to the quaint town of Thung Song.

Day 10 :
Thung Song - Ao Nang (Transfer & Hike)

The day begins with a 1.5-hour transfer to the Tiger Cave Temple (Wat Tham Suea). Here, you have the option to climb 1,237 steps to its shrine for panoramic views. After lunch, we transfer to Ao Nang Beach for an afternoon of relaxation. The guided portion of the tour concludes after lunch.

Ko Yao Yai (Ferry & Leisure)

Is this tour suitable for someone who doesn't cycle regularly?

Yes, with a difficulty rating of 1/5, shorter daily cycling distances and the option of an E-Bike, this tour is very accessible for leisure cyclists or those new to multi-day cycling tours. There are also several non-cycling/rest days.

What is the Tiger Cave Temple climb like?

The climb to the shrine at Tiger Cave Temple involves 1,237 steps and can be strenuous, especially in the heat. It is optional, and the views from the top are very rewarding. You can choose to explore the lower temple grounds instead.

Are the river crossings on Day 5 difficult?

The five river crossings in Namtok Si Khit National Park are generally shallow and part of the fun adventure. Your guide will be there to assist, and it is a memorable experience.

Ich bin mittlerweile schon 3 Touren mit Lucien und seinem großartigem Team gefahren (Bangkok-Phuket, Bangkok-Hanoi, Phuket-LAngkawi). We took the 6 day Self Guided Tour from Hua Hin in Thailand. Lucien and Suthara took care of all the planning, providing us with good quality bikes (one hybrid, one e-bike), a full set of gpx files for navigation, and some excellent resorts to stay in each night. We also had him organise daily forwarding of our luggage (this was part of a bigger trip). All the arrangements worked seamlessly. The cycling is not of itself particularly demanding for anyone accustomed to the distances involved but we did find the heat draining. Road surfaces range from decent tarmac roads to gravel tracks and everything in between as you are out in open countryside most of the time. A great way to see Thailand beyond the tourist traps.
